Here are four very cool unusual seques that I just love:
1. 2-17-73 St Paul: Here Comes Sunshine -> China Cat
2. 7-27-74 Roanoke: US Blues -> The Promise Land
3. 5-22-77 Pembroke: Wharf Rat -> Terrapin Station (Inspiration)
4. 1-15-79 Springfield: I Need A Miracle -> Shakedown Street

Two Others I Saw in Boston
6-12-76 Sugar Magnolia -> US Blues -> Sunshine Daydream encore
5-7-77 Mississippi Half Step -> Big River
and of course 9-20-91 Slipknot! -> Fire on the Mountain

Saw a shoreline gig with an eyes/fire combo. Caught everyone by surprise. Unfortunately the idea was better than the execution. Not bad but certainly not as epic as it could have been.

I'm pretty familiar with most of those except for the first one, which I'll have to check out. I always wish that they had played Terrapin that way (without Lady with a Fan) more often. LwaF can be pretty long and draggy without much good jamming but i do really love the Terrapin Station part of the song.

Here are a few other unusual but great segues:

Spanish Jam>U.S. Blues

Pay close attention to the cymbals during the transition and you'll be well rewarded. Ollin Arageed>Fire is kinda cool too.

Just a few worth listening to. I'll add more later if they occur to me.
